Strategic Collaboration: Sudanese Medical Research Association and National University Discuss the Future of Scientific Research

In a significant move toward advancing the national research landscape, the National University - Sudan, represented by its President, Professor Ahmed El-Fahal, and the Secretary of Academic Affairs, Dr. Eman Amin, accompanying them, the Deputy-Secretary of Academic Affairs, Dr. Ali Awadallah Ali, hosted a high-level delegation from the Sudanese Medical Research Association (SMRA) on Sunday morning.
The SMRA delegation, which included Dr. Majdy Jailany Alamein (Vice President for External Affairs) and Dr. Abdelhamead Mohammed Ali (Deputy Secretary-General), engaged in a productive session that covered the following key areas:
A. Organizational Overview: comprehensive presentation of the Association’s history, structural framework, and its impactful initiatives prior to the forced hiatus caused by the ongoing conflict.
B. Strategic Vision: An exploration of the mandates of the current offices and the potential for a sustainable strategic partnership between the Association and the University.
Professor Ahmed El-Fahal warmly welcomed the delegation’s proposal, commending the Association’s pioneering role and its sophisticated organizational structure.
Demonstrating his commitment to the advancement of science, Professor El-Fahal pledged to provide a dedicated headquarters for the Association within the National University, enabling the resumption of its activities from within the country. He further committed to providing full institutional support for the Association’s upcoming initiatives.
This visit is part of the Association’s broader strategy to establish robust networks with academic institutions, hospitals, and national research centers. The ultimate goal is to institutionalize scientific research and provide the Sudanese community with sound methodological foundations. By fostering synergy between these bodies, the Association aims to empower Sudanese researchers with the tools and resources necessary to achieve their scientific objectives without barriers.

في إطار مساعيها الحثيثة لتوطيد أواصر التعاون مع المؤسسات الأكاديمية والبحثية، سجّلت الجمعية السودانية للبحث الطبي زيارة رسمية لمقر الجامعة الوطنية صباح اليوم الأحد، حيث كان في استقبال وفدها مدير الجامعة، البروفيسور أحمد الفحل، وأمين الشؤون العلمية، الدكتورة إيمان أمين، يرافقهم نائب أمين الشؤون العلمية، الدكتور علي عوض الله علي.
مثّل الجمعية في هذا اللقاء كل من الدكتور مجدي جيلاني الأمين، نائب الرئيس للشؤون الخارجية، والدكتور عبدالحميد محمد علي، نائب السكرتير العام. وتناول الاجتماع محاور جوهرية شملت:
التعريف بالجمعية: استعراض مسيرتها منذ التأسيس، وتسليط الضوء على هيكلها التنظيمي ومناشطها السابقة التي سبقت فترة التوقف القسري جراء الظروف الراهنة (الحرب).
الرؤية المستقبلية: عرض خطط المكاتب الحالية، واستكشاف آفاق الشراكة والتعاون المشترك بين الجمعية والجامعة.
من جانبه، أبدى البروفيسور أحمد الفحل ترحيباً واسعاً بالطرح، مُثمناً الدور الريادي للجمعية ومستوى تنظيمها العالي. وتأكيداً ودعماً لهذا الحراك العلمي، أعلن البروفيسور الفحل عن تخصيص مقر للجمعية داخل الجامعة الوطنية لمباشرة نشاطها من أرض الوطن، مؤكداً التزام الجامعة الكامل بدعم كافة مناشط الجمعية المقبلة.
تأتي هذه الخطوة ضمن استراتيجية الجمعية الرامية للتشبيك مع الجامعات، المستشفيات، والمراكز البحثية القومية؛ بهدف تمكين البحث العلمي وتوطين الأسس المنهجية في المجتمع السوداني، وتضافر الجهود لإعداد باحث سوداني مؤهل ومزوّد بالأدوات المعرفية التي تمكنه من بلوغ غاياته دون عوائق.
